Today I’ve chosen to play the Billy Joel song, She’s Got a Way which dates from 1971 and was included on his first solo album, Cold Spring Harbor.

Today I’ve recorded Emeli Sandé’s Read All About It, as performed at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Song number 2 of (hopefully!) 365! This is my version of the Carpenters classic from 1973. It’s apparently been covered in Icelandic, Swedish, French, Finnish, Dutch and Cantonese. And now with me and my piano. Hope you enjoy it!

I’ve decided to have a go at replicating my challenge from 2010 when I played and recorded a different song every day of the year. For the first day of the year I’ve decided to play one of the most beautiful songs released since I did my original challenge, Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years. I played this song at our neighbours’ wedding a couple of years ago along with a friend on violin and it’s the perfect song for a wedding. I hope you like it.
