What better song to play on Hallowe’en than Michael Jackson’s Thriller? A 14-minute Hallowe’en-style video version was released in 1983 and this was followed by a single released in January 1984. I’ve “swingified” this a bit and I hope you like it.
This is my take on Take On Me, the A-ha classic from 1984. I’ve jazzed it up a bit and I’m not 100% sure if it works, but I hope you enjoy it!

Today’s tune is the theme tune from the 80s TV show Cagney and Lacey. Admittedly the first 2 and a half minutes are quite different from anything that was ever heard on the show, but again it just goes to show how a good tune works in different styles! Well, hopefully it works… The theme was written by Bill Conti and replaced an earlier opening sequence in the first season of the show which featured the Michael Stull song Ain’t That The Way sung by Marie Cain.

I always think that if you can take a song and completely change the style and it still works then it must mean that the song must be pretty good to start with! I’ve done this with Avicii’s 2013 summer anthem Wake Me Up and I think it works – I hope you agree!
